Used For Topical Anesthesia Prior To Procedures Like Venipuncture Or Minor Surgeries. It Can Also Be Used For Pain Relief In Certain Dermatological Procedures.
Apply A Thick Layer To The Area To Be Numbed And Cover With An Occlusive Dressing For Up To 2 Hours. After 1 Hour, The Skin Can Be Numbed For Procedures. Do Not Use More Than The Recommended Amount Or Duration.
This Cream Contains Lidocaine And Prilocaine, Which Work To Block Nerve Signals In The Skin, Providing Localized Anesthesia. It Is Essential For Pain Control During Procedures Like Injections Or Removal Of Skin Lesions, Ensuring The Patient Remains Comfortable. Overuse Or Longer Application Than Advised Can Lead To Systemic Toxicity.
- Hypersensitivity To Lidocaine, Prilocaine, Or Other Local Anesthetics Of The Amide Type. Congenital Or Acquired Methemoglobinemia (Risk Of Severe Hypoxia).
- Severe Hepatic Impairment (Risk Of Toxicity Due To Reduced Metabolism).
- Use In Neonates Under 3 Months Without Physician Supervision (Increased Risk Of Methemoglobinemia).
- Patients With G6pd Deficiency, Due To Increased Risk Of Methemoglobinemia.
- Apply Only To Intact Skin; Avoid Mucous Membranes And Open Wounds.
- Limit Exposure Time To Avoid Systemic Toxicity.
- Caution In Patients With Liver Impairment As Metabolism May Be Affected.
- Avoid Excessive Application As Systemic Absorption May Lead To Cns Toxicity (Seizures, Dizziness, Or Cardiac Effects).
- Avoid Use In Large Areas Or For Prolonged Periods In Children And Elderly.
- Do Not Apply Near Eyes; Rinse Immediately If Accidental Contact Occurs.
