ZOLMITRIPTAN NASAL SPRAY 5MG
ANTI-MIGRAIN
For acute migraine treatment.
Adult Dose :
- 1 spray in one nostril at onset of migraine (max 5 mg/day)
Pediatric Dose :
- Not recommended for children.
A triptan used for the relief of migraine attacks; it works by vasoconstricting blood vessels in the brain and modulating pain pathways associated with migraine, providing effective relief from the severe headache and related symptoms.
Uncontrolled hypertension, ischemic heart disease, history of stroke or tia, peripheral vascular disease, severe hepatic impairment, mao inhibitor use.
May cause serotonin syndrome when used with ssris or snris. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular risk factors. Avoid in hepatic or renal impairment.
