Levocetirizine dihydrochloride Tablets

Each film coated tablet contains:

Levocetirizine dihydrochloride…. 5 mg

Description:

Levocetirizine, the (R) enantiomer of cetirizine, is a potent and selective antagonist of peripheral H1-receptors. Levocetirizine inhibits VCAM-1 release, modulates vascular permeability and decreases eosinophil recruitment.

Indications:

Levohista is indicated in the treatment of perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, hives and chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Dosage and administration:

Adults & Children (aged above 6 years):  

One tablet daily.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine or its parent compound hydroxyzine, patients with severe renal impairment (< 10 ml/min creatinine clearance).

Presentation:

Blister of 10 Tablets.
