DESMOPRESSIN 0.01% W/V

For diabetes insipidus or nocturnal enuresis.

Adult Dose :

• 1-2 sprays in one nostril 30 minutes before bedtime

Pediatric Dose :

• Not typically used in children < 6 years

A synthetic form of vasopressin, used to treat diabetes insipidus and nocturnal enuresis by increasing water reabsorption in the kidneys. It helps to reduce urine output and improve hydration status in patients with these conditions.

Hyponatremia, severe renal impairment, congestive heart failure, primary polydipsia.

Monitor serum sodium levels to avoid water intoxication. Fluid restriction recommended. Use with caution in patients with cardiac or renal disease.
