Deputy Manager, IDD

Educational Qualifications:

A post-graduate in biochemistry/pharmacy with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience in the field of biotechnology/biochemistry. Doctorate degree is preferred. Knowledge of herbal extracts would be an added advantage. Knowledge of animal studies, PK/PD studies, and animal studies of various disease models for clinical development of drugs is essential for this position.

The job responsibilities include the following:

• Must have experience in conducting experiments with living organisms and work on biomolecular processes for troubleshooting problems, improve processes and develop new products
• Must be familiar with cell based assays, binding assays, ELISA and protein estimations.
• Must be innovative and display qualities of out of box thinker
• Ensure timely data entry by maintaining research notebooks with accurate notes, conclusions and records.
• Perform data analysis on the performed experiments and interpret findings to support scientific investigations
• Will be responsible for managing the animal study design, conduct and reporting of studies to meet scientific and regulatory requirements
• Must be familiar with analysis of samples from animal tissues and cell-based assays
• Take active part in drafting and validating R&D quality documents (SOP, Specifications.
• Assist seniors and management team to author technical protocols, reports and dossiers for regulatory submissions.
• Provide scientific support to the juniors and develop R&D personnel.
• Maintain standard laboratory equipment and computers.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other scientists
• Keep up to date with new advances in biotechnology to develop new techniques, products or practices.
• Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with senior members of the team and members of other teams
