CALCITONIN NASAL SPRAY 200IU

Used for osteoporosis and certain conditions.

Adult Dose :

• 1 spray in one nostril once daily

Pediatric Dose :

• Not typically used in children.

Used primarily in the treatment of osteoporosis, calcitonin is a hormone that plays a role in calcium regulation and bone health management. When administered as a nasal spray, it helps to increase bone density and reduce the risk of fractures in postmenopausal women.

Hypersensitivity to salmon calcitonin. Hypocalcemia.

Monitor for signs of hypocalcemia and allergic reactions. Long-term use may increase risk of malignancy. Nasal irritation may occur; switch nostrils regularly.
